PlayStation Network (PSN) – Activation of a code:
Required Information:
- A PlayStation Network account (PSN account) with a region that matches the code.
- A PlayStation console connected to the internet, or a web browser to access the official PSN site.
- A digital code (12-digit code) to activate content on PSN.
Activation Steps (via PSN website):
- Go to the official PlayStation Store website and log in to your PSN account.
- Click on your profile icon (the "smiley face" symbol at the top right).
- In the dropdown menu, select “Redeem Code.”
- Enter your 12-digit code into the field provided.
- Click “Continue” and then confirm the redemption. The content or credit will be added to your account.
Activation Steps (on a PlayStation console):
- Ensure you are signed in to the correct PSN account on your console.
- Open the PlayStation Store app on the console.
- On PS5, press the button with three dots ("…") at the top right to open the menu (on PS4, find the Redeem option in the left sidebar menu).
- Select “Redeem Code.”
- Enter your 12-digit code and confirm by clicking “Redeem.”
- After successful redemption, the content will be available on your account – it will appear in your Library or in the relevant app/service.
Important Notices:
- PlayStation codes are region-locked. This means a code purchased for the European region will only work on a PSN account registered in a European country (region). Always check which region a code is intended for before purchasing.
- Once a code is redeemed on PSN, it cannot be used again, and the content (game, DLC, subscription, or wallet funds) cannot be transferred to another account. It remains tied to the account on which the code was activated.
