Xbox – Activation via a purchased account:

Required Information:

  • Login credentials for the purchased Xbox account (Microsoft account) – the email and password.
  • Access to the email inbox associated with that account (if provided) to verify new logins and changes.
  • An Xbox One or Xbox Series X/S console with internet access.

Activation Steps (using the purchased Xbox account on the console):

  1. Turn on your Xbox console and at the sign-in screen, choose to add a new user.
  2. Sign in with the provided Microsoft account email and password (Xbox Live account credentials).
  3. If two-factor verification is enabled, enter the code from the email or SMS (get it from the seller if you don’t have direct access).
  4. After logging in, press the Xbox (Guide) button on the controller and navigate to Profile & System > Settings > General > Personalization > My home Xbox.
  5. Select “Make this my home Xbox” to set the console as the home Xbox for this purchased account. This ensures games from that account are accessible to other profiles on the console.
  6. On the console, open My games & apps and go to Full Library > All owned games. The purchased game should be listed. Begin installing the game on the console.
  7. Once the game is installed, you can switch back to your own Xbox profile (or create a new one if you prefer). Thanks to the home Xbox setting, the game will be available to play on your profile.
  8. Keep the purchased account on the console as the home account, but do not use it for online play or purchases. Play the game from your own profile – your gameplay progress and achievements will then save to your account.

Important Notices:

  • You can switch your Home Xbox designation only a limited number of times per year (currently 5 times). So avoid toggling the home setting between multiple accounts unnecessarily.
  • Ensure the seller has not given the same account to multiple people – if someone else logs in and sets a different console as Home, you could lose access to the games. If any issues arise, contact the seller’s support immediately.
